A bright, sunny day in Charleston -- lots of fodder for SHADOW SHOT SUNDAY.
We finally made it to beautiful and historic downtown Charleston. (Last year, we couldn't find a parking place for the big truck, so we visited the surrounding countryside, but not the City itself.)
There are many cobblestone alleys and streets. Before the Revolution, these stones were used as ballast on ships coming into Charleston harbor and then used for roads.
It was really really hot the day we toured the City, but we were glad we were able to see it at last and learn some of its history.
