Wonderful images of all your beautiful birds.. the big guy looks a bit mean xx

Boom & Gary

Great series!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.

LaVoice

Thanks for a very interesting bird post.

Carletta

Love that little heron's shadow!
That vulture looks like a gargoyle sitting there. It looks like you were awfully close.

Mick

Nice to be at a place where you can see so many different birds. Great photos.

eileen

Hi Sallie, Wonderful birds! Very cool to see a flock of Ibis. And I love the Yellow Crowned Night Heron. Awesome photos and a cool closeup of the vulture.

texwisgirl

These are awesome, sallie! the night heron is gorgeous!

Carole M.

beautiful photographs; never seen the vulture so close; great photos

Barb

How funny - that vulture gave me a start! So may exotic birds in your neighborhood, Sallie. (Exotic to me, that is.)

Clair Z.

Oh, my, they are all so different from the birds we see around here. I suppose our grackles and doves might seem exotic to someone else, though. I always like traveling along with you!

Nicole

Dangit - and YOU are amazed by MY birds?
:D
I would love to see these guys - all of them!
wow!

Ebie

The birds looks so "comfy" at home in the backyard.

Hazel

Lovely shots and detail about the birds and your life. You live in a Photographer's world!!!

heyBJK

Stewart M - Australia

Hi - thats a great set of lawn birds!

Cheers - Stewart M

diane

Eeeew he's proper ugly that vulture. I like the heron's hairdo.

joo

I love them all but the night heron is my favourite:)

Carver

These are all fantastic. The yellow crowned night heron is quite the dude.

Larry Jordan

Great images Sallie! That portrait of the Yellow-crowned Night-Heron is awesome but my favorite is the Black Vulture! Very cool!

Arija

It looks like a flock of young birds grazing, they often stick together.
Love the vulture with a face only a mother could love.

Penny

I love birds, so, I would be in paradise where you are, Sallie. That night heron is quite the poser.

springman

Nice collection Sallie! These are some big birds too, wonderful to see. I am getting the bug to come to Florida!

Pat

Love that Vulture shot!

phyllis oller

I love your captures of what looks to be an ordinary day there where you live!phyllis in Pa

Annie

Curious chickens these ibis ! When I saw ibis, they were red and ...in a zoo. I don't like too much the vulture and'd be afraid for the neighbors'cats, if I 'd live here .

Michelle

poor homely vultures....

Ken Schneider

Very nice photos, Sallie. We are lucky enough to have a rookery of Yellow-crowned Night-Herons right near our South Florida home.

JM

Great post! I especially like the white Ibis.
