Great back-yard birds. I always wanted to see a Redwing Blackbird when I visited over there - and never did!

Eileen

Looks like a great set-up for attracting the birds. Nice birds and photos, Sallie. Hope you are having a great visit with your family.

Rambling Woods

That is a bird heaven..lovely photos

Colin Huggins

Great shots and what a swell idea to have that area just for the birds. Are those holes for nests?
Safe travelling.
Cheers

Weather report: Thankfully a bit warmer than yesterday.
I have to go back to Toowong this morning. In my great haste to get home, I left my dessert purchases at the super-market.
So got home with meat and vegetables and other things, but no frozen stuff - icecreams etc. Damn, the cold!

heyBJK

Nice shots! Water is one way to attract birds for sure.

Rita aka Cashjocky

Wishing you a fun and blessed visit with your children. Be safe on the road. Looking forward to more of your travel post.

Thanks for you lovely comment on my restroom artwork.

Carver

Wonderful shots of the varied birds.

We saw the red-winged blackbirds pretty regularly when we lived in Texas; not so much in Louisiana, though I have spotted a few. I'd love to get one in flight. This is so pretty.

Nice to enjoy and when it's someone else's back yard you don't have to buy the bird seed.

The more I try to photograph birds, the more I appreciate good images of birds. Thanks for these. You inspire me.

Rajesh

Beautiful birds.

This makes me think I should hang a bird feeder in Denver (but I'm afraid I'd only get squirrels!). So dry here in the mts, Sallie - I worry about fires. Hope you're having fun - sure looks like you are!

Andrea

The location of the red spot under the wings of that black bird is so lovely, but without it i will call it a crow!

Linda

We have them everywhere on the upper end, but alass I can NEVER get a good photo! You did excellent!

What a funny black and red bird ! Nothing lile this one here, but a lot of singing ones everywhere. A great pleasure !
