There were snow-white drifts (of sand), bright lights, beautiful decorations scattered about artfully, and even a snow-man (a sand-man?). It was a white Christmas, on-the-beach style:
Our friends and neighbors here at Upriver Resort decorated their homes in a more traditional way. I'll miss seeing these bright lights during evening walks. (Because even though it's warm, it still gets dark too early this time of the year!)
Happy New Year Everybody!

I coveted one of those palm trees with lights one year when my husband and I went to Florida. Each evening we would walk around the campground and a lot of folks had one or two on their front yard. I never did find one though. The beach looks heavenly. Valerie

Oh, I love your white Christmas beach shots! You had a whiter Christmas than we did here in my part of Canada. We finally got some snow on Boxing Day!

I could like white sand snowmen, instead we have enough snow to make some real big ones.

Your White Christmas is whiter than ours was on the west coast of Canada. And much warmer.
I love walking on the beach at any time of year!
Your photos are lovely.
Happy New Year.

Gotta love that "snow"man! Have a happy new year.

I'd rather have white sand and warmth to walk around to see the pretty lights than snow, which we got a little more of today. :(

How wonderful to celebrate with sand and warmth! Lovely shots.

You must have had fun and a good Christmas! There's no need for "artificial" snow in UK., but in the Midlands it's just rain and gales.

Nice Christmas on the beach and lovely Christmas tree! :)
And the decorations are soooo american to me! I always think of the film "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation" when I see them! In Sweden we don't have very much lamp decorations outside.
Thanks for your kind comment, Sallie!
Wish you too a Happy New Year!

Lovely views from the beach Sally! Even here in S. Calif. it's "cold" in the 40ties at night, and one time we even hit 30 F. Don't know why, but I haven't seen as many residences with lights this year... Have a very happy New Year to you and yours!
