Just in case there's any doubt about where we're spending the winter ....
.... these pictures from a December day-trip will let you know. Because really this collection of silly and delicious signs could only be from warm and sunny Southwest Florida.
Happy New Year to all ...
and special thanks
to Lesley who hosts SIGNS SIGNS.
I like the sign for it's originality. Happy New Year!

All those different kinds of seafood just makes my mouth water! Yum! Love the pastel colors! What a fun looking place! Hope you are enjoying the warm weather! It's pretty cold here in the Midwest! happy New Year!

My first thought was that those figures on the roof must be well stabilised in a hurricane zone! But they are so effectively eye-catching as sign holders!

Well, I could use a little warmth right now. And - I could definitely find something for lunch on that menu board!

Pretty impressive menu.
Grilled whole snapper would appeal, nothing with batter on my fish dishes. However, no OYSTERS????????
Surely Florida must have rock oysters????
Pray tell, what are Mahi Mahis? Surely not a Florida expression for Hawaiian Mai Tais - ha ha!
Also "Hush Puppies" here are a casual brand of shoes, how different countries have different names for food and things.
As always, Sallie, a very informative and interesting report.

Sallie, What a colorful building--that would certainly catch your eye driving by it. You are definitely in the right place for the winter. It will be in the single digits here in Kansas tonight. Happy New Year-hope it is filled with peace, joy, and many blessings. Mickie :)

Having been born in Coral Gables and readed in Plam Beach these signs look like HOME for me. Go over the the mainland and they are everywhere. I really do miss all the colorful things down there. Loved the post. genie

Florida has its own style for sure. Great shots.

Very colorful and fun! Any place that is bold enough to have a pink roof with neon green trim and green siding has to be good. Reading the menu I now have a hankering for crab cakes! YUM!
