Beautiful mountain scenery and the wildflowers are beautiful. I've seen wildflowers once - only! - like that and it's amazing how they grow next to snow.

Yay! One of my favorite places. I can usually get back up there when the snow melts enough in mid July. Can't wait.

wow! those mountains just roll and pitch. love it!

That is gorgeous.

Such a beautiful place, thanks for sharing.

What wonderful colors and scenery! It's amazing how things prosper so high up.

So very beautiful!

Glorious, grand scenery! Breathtaking views of the mountains!

Re Anthony's Nose, it is simply the name of a place - with mountain side sharply falling to the sea and windy road round it! In the 19th century, the road was literally cut out of the mountain! The area is still prone to rock falls!

Spring in August? Wow. That scenery really is magnificent!

You've certainly captured the grandeur and vastness of the area. I wonder if it beats the English Lake District passes? They are very tricky because so much often changes in a small area...

Wow, gorgeous images. the mountain scenery is lovely and the field of flowers is beautiful. Great shots, Sallie!

These are simply gorgeous! Hubby and I visited Colorado Springs a couple of years ago and fell in love with the state. We thought of retiring there but that hasn't worked out yet. We have friends that have a cabin in Cuchara. Lucky you! With family you can visit often.

I always love to witness this mountain view.

Simply beautiful.

Delightful shots of Colorado. You captured both the mountain range and wildflowers so well.

Wow! I am a complete mountain baby and I love your shots of the place so much. I love the tranquil air that one finds in these places, a perfect place to spend some quality time in solitude.

wonderful views and glorious wildflowers

Thanks Sallie for these beautiful shots ! I like the flowers in the meadow : they are such a good memory of numerous hikes in the rocky mountains !

Oh wow! what majestic photos... I swear I could stay here and just be. It is the perfect place to meditate and enjoy nature.

Wow! What majestic scenery and beautiful photos! It's been too long since I spend time in that great state.

I've never seen more beautiful wildflowers. Boy, would I like to see a field of flowers like that. Wish there would have been a photo of you on the 4-wheeler.
