wonderful series on the tern and gulls. the sleeping tern is cute beside the gulls.

what a crew! so cute. the terns are so pretty.

I've never seen baby gulls either. Thank you for remedying that, Salle. The Arctic Tern is quite the handsome fellow.

Oh, "grandma" try to comfort the baby gulls.

Nice sightings and captures. I've never seen baby gulls either.

Wonderful shots. I really like that Arctic tern.

cool shots of the gull. Yes the gull was probably teaching them a thing or two. :)

Love the first Artic Tern shot. Now I think the baby Gulls are being home schooled by a teacher! This Gull would not had so many baby of her own!! Looks like they are all listening to her anyway. Great post. Have a great weekend.

I guess the baby gulls were starving! It is amazing to get so close to them-they seem oblivious to humans.
(Today, the weather has turned wet and wintry for the first time this season, but I had a young fox in the garden last evening).

Good Morning, Sallie. I like the Arctic Tern and would love to see one.. The baby gulls are cute, they are getting a lesson from mom.. Great captures.. Thanks for linking up, have a happy weekend!

oh those babies are adorable! :)

Is she looking after a whole kindergarden?? I have never seen any gull have that many chicks. It is nice to see that we do share some birds like the Arctic tern that often spends it's winter on our sunny summer coasts.

I had never seen baby gulls either – they are so sweet. I’ll come back and look on your series on Alaska. We also went to Alaska several years ago – I wrote a couple of posts, then went on to other subjects. I still have pictures and more posts to write such as the railroad to the Yukon. Thanks for coming to my blog.

Very cool that you've seen and photographed an Arctic Tern. Sometimes they show up here but I have never seen one to photograph.

Wow! An Arctic Tern! So cool!

I've never seen gull babies or tern babies either! Wonderful photos!

First of all Sallie I do remember those old B&W westerns. In fact the Lone Ranhger was a childhood hero. So I know all about the "buzzards" and that is why for North Amercan readers, I attached the scientific name Buteo buteo as posting pictures of our only UK buzzard invites some perplexed comments.

Ah, Mew Gull - you mean Common Gull? LOL.

Beautiful series of gull photos!

Happy Weekend

I love the tern. The gull sure has a big family.

Beautiful birds.

Jenn Jilks

They're so cute! I've never seen babies, either.

The Arctic Tern is so cute, it looks much more reserved than the noisy gulls. I've never seen this size of baby gulls either, they must be hard to keep fed, poor mom.

As you know, I love birds! Loved seeing the gull babies!
Have a blessed Sunday:)
Blessings, Aimee

Thats a lot of young gulls - I wonder if it some form of creche?

Cheers - Stewart M - Melbourne

I love Mama Gull and her large brood!

Great shots of the beautiful birds.

the arctic tern is such a beautiful bird!

I love that gathering of gulls, she does look like she's giving them an important life lesson,

Mary Howell Cromer

Very nice gathering of Gulls. They are such beauties!

That is a big brood

I've never seen gull babies either - how cute!

The Tern in the first picture is beautiful with red beak and legs♡♡♡
I LOVE the last shot that baby Arctic Terns don't want their mom flew away from them; so sweet and "plaintive" Yes, that must be. Thank you very much for the word p:-)

Wishing you will ave a wonderful new week, Sallie.

AN excellent series! Looks like the babies are going into panic mode.

We are just back from a break on the coast and saw plenty of seabirds...yours are wonderful to see also.

Ida P. Krause

That first shot is so pretty. I really like seabirds.
Oh how cute to see the baby gulls. I don't think I've ever seen baby gulls either.

I'm sure that large group of baby gulls are VERY demanding...

Very nice photos!

Adam Jones

That's a pretty smart looking Arctic Tern.

Mary Howell Cromer

What beauties these birds are, and the share is great!

Lily Lau

This made me realize I had never seen baby gulls ever in my life either! They look so furry, and so demanding too!
