Here a few bright spots from past trips. Just for some cheer during NOcolor NOvember.

Here's where they were taken:
Top picture: Wildflowers on top of a mountain in Colorado (in June)
Marigold and butterfly in Vermont at a farmstand; fall flowers in Eugene Oregon (along a bike path); Butterfly garden in Seattle
Japanese Iris at Denver Botanical Gardens; exotic plants in a conservatory in Charleston SC; blooming cactus at Falcon Lake State Park, Texas
Just some very brave wildflowers, blooming along a dusty roadside near Ocala FL; and wild roses (being pollinated) along a roadside in Alvadore Oregon
Thanks everybody; glad you enjoyed the bouquet!
The sun came out for a day here in Veneta the day after I posted the flowers! Maybe I should complain about the weather more often.
My camera is an Olympus Stylus 710. Nothing fancy. I only use Picasa3 and only for cropping. I've never use the color enhancement feature.

These are lovely! Much nicer looking at these than the bare trees and brown leaves out my window.
Indeed, if you are anywhere near West Virginia next August I'll make you a birthday cake with cherries. :)

That is what I call flower power - makes you feel good all over! We have had rain from Hurricane Ida all day today! So these flowers are perfect.

Beautiful pictures. I needed to see this. We have been in Portland for a month and I swear we have only had four or five days without rain. So gray. The color in your pictures is quite stunning. You must have a very good camera and/or good editing software.
