For SKYWATCH FRIDAY this week we are revisiting Sky City New Mexico, one of our stops on last fall's road trip. That was before I knew about Skywatch Friday, and it seems so appropriate that I decided to repost some pictures of it. Here is the link to the original post about this fascinating and historical place. It was a wonderful visit. SKY CITY NEW MEXICO (click on the blue).
_______________
Almost every place we've ever been in New Mexico is worth a second visit, and this one certainly was. The sky (in October) was really this blue and completely cloudless.
What beautiful blue skies above these adobe structures ;-)
My Sky Watch is at Sacred Ruminations.
Hugs and blessings,

Stella - we are still in Oregon and while it is beautiful here it is definitely NOT a WARM paradise! This post on Sky City was a flashback to a warmer time (October, 2008) in our lives. Like you, we thought we could use a little sunshine and blue skies!
Chatty - These photo sharing sites are called memes. (I have no idea why.) I just learned how to join them this past summer and girl, if I can do it you can too! Some of them I go to are listed on the right column under sharing sites and if you click on any of them you can read how to do it there.
They are great places to look at beautiful pictures and get new ideas.

The sky sure does make everything look sharper. It was weird seeing no clouds. I didn't know anything about sky watch Friday or any other day. Where did you learn about all these different places and how did you decide where to go AND then figure the routes?

A wonderfully serene blue - it's not often you see a cloudless sky.

What a beautiful place to visit. We've spent a little bit of time in New Mexico but never here. Next time we'll look up Sky City.

thanks for visiting! I should have said that the ladders are prayer ladders -- it is explained in the original post.

The blueness of the sky just makes everything else seem that much brighter. Excellent captures.
