Chatty Crone

Hey - I just heard a story about lily pads - do you know in a month they can replicate and take over the whole pond - starting with just two?

Beautiful pictures by the way.

In all our time in Portland we never went to the Chinese Gardens. I'm mad at myself. Your pictures are fantastic. We did visit the Japanese Gardens however, as well as the Rose Garden. Portland is a lovely place as well as the rest of Oregon. It sounds like you have thoroughly enjoyed living there.

I feel more peaceful just looking at these photos from the Chinese Garden.

This looks like a place I'd love to visit.

Wonderful gardens. I love that last shot in particular.

Oh that is a lovely place!

So pretty! Happy Ruby Tuesday!!

Sallie I'm just glad you are still talking to me LOL

Thanks for sharing the photo of the water garden. I have visited the rose gardens in Portland but didn't realize there was a water garden. We visit Portland every couple of years as I have an Aunt and cousin there.

Love to see ponds and fishes most specifically park and gardens they make us feeling fresh and renew all the time. Thanks for sharing!

What lovely photos of this beautiful place. While attending CSU at Long Beach, I loved to walk over to the Japanese Gardens nearby and sit for a while ... sometimes writing in my journal and other times just drinking in the peacefulness. I also enjoyed Henningston Gardens in Taos, NM next to the Mable Dodge Luhan Conference Center. Such places are restorative to the spirit. Of course, the beach in winter has much the same effect on me ;-)
Hugs and blessings,

Happy day to you.

That garden looks beautiful. I think every city should have gardens and parks!
