Our scenery right now is still pretty much all sepia and gray, so it's time again for a look back at some color.
All these sunny yellow color spots are really just flowers growing wild -- otherwise known as weeds!
The cactus picture was taken at Falcon Lake State Park in Texas, the middle two on the bike paths here in Oregon (in another more colorful season) and the agave plant in Tucson, Arizona.
"Winter must be cold for those with no warm memories." (From the movie An Affair to Remember) and quoted on THIS BLOG, one of my favorites:
I feel warmer now!

Wonderful sunny colours! My kids do so love winter and mourn its passing every year, so I guess that they have lots of fun memories of skating and sledging...

Thanks, makes me thing Spring is really out there somewhere. I know how gloomy it can be in the northwest and I lived in Tacoma for a number of years. In fact my family is still all living there. Have a happy day.

That is so much better - I feel warmer already. I especially love the agave pictures. I also checked out the blog you linked to. Super posts there.

I have to agree - I am definitely looking back at pictures of more colourful times! I find winter really looses it's appeal in January. That said, I have winter flowering jasmine in my garden which has brilliant yellow flowers. Sadly, this year there has been an attack by militant winter slugs and it's looking a bit sorry for itself!

Delightfully colorful finds! I'm always amazed at the beautiful blossoms produced by cactus plants. Someone once told me that one person's weeds are another person's treasures ;-)
Hugs and blessings,
