I first looked at this meme: SHADOW SHOT SUNDAY recently -- on a gray day when there were no shadows anywhere here in Oregon. So I really haven't gone shadow hunting yet, except through our photo files. This is the best shadow picture I found. It's from our Spring 2008 road trip, right after we left Florida.
This beautiful tree-lined avenue leads to Wormsloe Plantation, a State Historical site on the Isle of Hope, near beautiful Savannah Georgia. Here's what we said about it right after we were there: WORMSLOE PLANTATION
And click on the blue link on top to see more shadowy pictures from everywhere. Also here for Straight Out of the Camera Sunday. I took this picture with my point and shoot Olympus with Bill telling me where to stand for the best angle. We were happy with how it came out.
Wow ... what MARVELOUS shadows you've captured and shared! Love the perspective ... very inviting ;-)
Hugs and blessings,

The greenery there is a great bit different then it is here in Atlanta! It has this plant called Spanish Moss and it is beautiful. sandie

These are very pretty shadows, very lacy looking.

haha! Thanks for popping back to 'read' my post. You did well to get through all of my waffling. It's not like that every week. I promise! ;D

You can look at these various photo memes as addictive (now I'm going to be looking for shadows too -- along with skies and beautiful colors). But I'd rather think they are training my eye to see more. And giving me an excuse to learn more about taking pictures.
We saw the bench where "Forrest Gump" sat (in the movie) while we were in Savannah.

You know I learn something new every day. I had never thought to look for shadows in photos. Now I will be looking for chances to take photos of shadows. We might even get some shadows here today. The sun seems to be making a watery showing this am. Have a good week.

How wonderful it would be to take a stroll along that shadowy path. A beautiful photo you shared!
Thanks ever so much for joining in Shadow Shot Sunday :)

What a lovely area. We have not explored the back roads east of Indiana/Kentucky. One of these days . . .

I expect Forrest to come running down that lane any minute! :)
This is a lovely shot Sallie!
That lined path of wonderful old trees would be a heavenly place to walk.

It does indeed look like a beautiful place to walk! Terrific shadow shot! I live in Seattle and I've learned how to look for shadows in places I never thought of before. But with so much gray you do have depend on your imagination sometimes! Hope to see you back here again!
