We weren't seriously birding last weekend -- but here are a few of the birds we saw without really trying.
Drive-by (or boat-by) birding!
I need to take a Florida birding class, but to the best of my knowledge these are: little blue heron, cattle egret, sandhill crane, snowy egret, and osceola turkeys. (These wild turkeys are more colorful than the kind we've seen in Oregon and elsewhere. Their feathers are a burnished bronze color.).
Seeing all these beautiful FL birds is making me and my robins feel like plain Janes.

The center one is cool. Just get yourself a birding book for your area and keep it on your boat. The only ones I know are Snowy Egret and Blue Heron.

The herons and egrets are lovely birds, and easy to find in the tropics.

Great bird finds. I really like the bird in the center picture with the red top. We always feel so lucky when we spot the beautiful birds.
