The week between the Holidays and the New Year always seems like a dividend -- a little bit of time-out-of-time. I'm using this "extra" week for a couple of review posts. It was an extraordinary year. We shared time with our favorite people in some beautiful places. The places are easier to photograph.
Thank you to the hosts of the photo memes who provide so much pleasure throughout the year. Today's post is shared with MELLOW YELLOW MONDAY; RUBY TUESDAY, hosted by the lovely Mary at Work of the Poet; THAT'S MY WORLD, hosted by my blogging friend Sylvia and others; and WATERY WEDNESDAY (go get your eyes wet!)
A January view from our "no-Lake" -- in Oregon. Beautiful, even if being there during the Winter (instead of in Florida) was a change of plans:
February -- still Winter in Oregon, but with the promise of Spring:
A clean bill-of-health, a quick roadtrip across the country, and Springtime in Florida:
We stayed in Florida into early summer after most of the people at Upriver Resort had gone back "up North." We enjoyed some boating on the Caloosahatchie, exploring the Fort Myers area, and the sunshine.
We are always aware of how lucky we are to spend time on both Coasts. In 2010, we were particularly thankful to be in Oregon near family during the Winter and thankful to be healthy enough to be in Florida in the Spring and early Summer.
That was the first half of 2010!
lotsa great pictures in this one. really like the flora and the lizard buddy :) Also, very cool about the lazuli buntings out your door - beautiful birds!

What a nice life to have two places to spend your time.
Oregon's snow-capped mountains bring such beauty in the winter.
Especially like those watery photos of Florida.
Happy Watery wednesday and Happy New Year!

Wonderful photos, - they add some colour to the misty grey Similkameen - still waiting for a decent fall of snow. Wishing you happiness in the new year, Sallie, and pleasant roaming!

You did have a busy year. I hope you are enjoying better weather in Florida than they are elsewhere in the country.
We're home again with the mobile guest room.
Wishing you a great New Year.

Wonderful photos; your life style is so interesting, it's so very different to ours here. To have two very different places to live must be great.
I love seeing your flora and fauna and your landscapes. Thanks for sharing them.
