SHARED WITH THE BLOGGING COMMUNITIES AT THAT'S MY WORLD
AND WATERY WEDNESDAY
It takes a while each year to get a boat fit for the water after a summer in storage. It was finally ready last week. The picture above is our friend Don driving the boat down our canal after he helped Bill launch it from the boat ramp at the end of the canal.
Here's Bill tying it up at our dock after that very short trip. A couple of days later we took it out for the first time this year when we went to Fort Myers Beach with several other boats from Upriver Boating Club.
Going to lunch by boat -- and eating with friends -- turns Wednesday lunch into a special event!
WATER
Water in a drop of rain,
Water swirling down the drain;
Water clinging to the trees,
Water filling up the seas;
Water frozen, water free,
Water is the stuff for me!

Sounds wonderful to me, Sallie. I love seeing where you live by the water. Its so convenient for boaters like you two.
Looks sunny and warm on the west coast :)

It's nice to see blog photos filled with blue sky and sunshine instead of ice and snow. Sounds like y'all had a terrific outing. Enjoy!

Sunshine, shorts, boating, lunch on the water - it's my beautiful daydream come to life Sally as I sit here looking at snow on my patio and hoping the impending storm doesn't bring a lot more! :)
Sounds like you had an enjoyable time!

Going to lunch by boat sounds wonderful! As does weather mild enough to eat outside - roll on spring!

Thanks for visiting my blog. I can see that your lifestyle is very different now from Eugene. I grew up in the willamette Valley, and went to school in Molalla, Oregon, where my mother still lives. We had a small farm out in the valley until my parents sold it and moved into town late in life.
Enjoy your endless sunshine!

Sallie, your world is just excellent... good for you to be living your (and many others'!) dream! That's a lovely boat and I would sure enjoy a ride it... but owning it IS a lot of work. So enjoy the fruits of your labor! :-D

You're living the good life, that's for sure. When you tire of the Roadtrek you pull out the boat for a different view of the world.

Nice boat, Sallie. Even if it isn't one of the brands of the company I work for. :) We enjoyed our stay in Florida, but it is nice to be back in the PNW.
