Here, the City of Fort Myers.... and below, a selection of different types of boats: Boat-by shooting along the Caloosahatchie last week.
We were on our way to a late lunch (by boat) at Fort Myers Beach. We had five boats in our flotilla and two couples who drove.
A lovely day along the River -- and the very last Upriver Boat Club outing of the season. We are staying for another month or so. And the River will still be here too -- but we will miss the camaraderie! Until next season!
How many archaeologists does it take to change a light bulb? Three. One to change it while the other two argue about how old the old one is.

Anyone would love to go to Italy with any of these boats! They are truly beautiful and anyone would love to discover the waters of the earth with them. Steady as she goes, one could find paradise and wonderful memories to keep and share for special people.

Can’t believe when I commented, I linked back to the wrong post....think I am having more “senior moments/brain freezes” than I would like. I love the idea you all were in a flotilla....pretty exciting to be able to use that tern :-)Genie

I can imagine belonging to a boat club and traveling in a flotilla is a lot of fun. :-)

All those watery shots make me hungry for a closer proximity to the sea!
SPLASH OF YELLOW
Splash of yellow,
Dash of gold,
Make me mellow,
Never old;
Keep my humor
In fine trim,
Always laughing,
Never grim.

I am sorry to hear all of this fun is going to be ending before too long, but you will have the anticipation for next year awaiting you. This post shows how much fun all of you have together.Sorry I missed out on all of these good times all the years we lived on the water. IT sounds absolutely wonderful.

Wonderful photos from your boat ride on the river, Sallie. It must be fun to be part of the flotilla. Looks like a beautiful day. Have a wonderful week and thanks for stopping by.

I like the boat collage, there are so many different types of boats to see! I think my favorite is the brown and white one...

"Boat-by shooting" I like it. My Sister-in-Law complained that nothing was happening in her community in the summer. She lived year round in Florida.
I do envy your boating life style.

Camaraderie, is a very beautiful word ! And I'm really sorry if I disturb you with my mail ! For me it was simple : I have the book and could sent it easily ! So Sallie, forget it ! I prefer your "camaraderie" !

That must be such an interesting life to have two homes and two communities and two sets of friends. This lunch looked lots of fun albeit a little sad.

I would surely love to travel in one of those some day too!!
PS: Sallie, 'Rajma' is a popular North Indian vegetarian dish consisting of red kidney beans in a thick gravy with lots of Indian whole spices, tastes excellent with steamed rice!
You can see a pic of it here if you wish to - http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons

Hi Sallie, thanks for leaving me that insightful comment on my travel blog. And I just noticed your tagline for this blog. That's what I need to remind myself (literally) as I travel a lot and sometimes focus on the destination and not the journey! On the figurative level, your tagline is a great reminder as well!
Wow, your boat club is active! Bon voyage each time you travel, my dear.
