SHARED WITH RUBY TUESDAY and THAT'S MY WORLD. All of today's pictures were taken in our cross-street neighbor's yard. So it's really her gardening world -- but one that she generously shares.
The backyards of the houses across our street border on a wetlands.
Our neighbor really takes advantage of her surroundings and her yard seems like an extension of the natural area.
But her plants get a lot of tender loving care.
There's an anole in the picture above as well as what looks like a broken bird's egg -- one I didn't see until Bill downloaded the picture.
Many of the plants that thrive outside here are the same ones we babied along as houseplants back in Oregon (like the one above, some type of jade plant).
Roses aren't common here, but this one is doing well. It has been blooming for over a month and (no matter how much care it gets) will probably be gone by the time roses hit their stride in more moderate climate areas. Ferns, surprisingly, do very well.
Thank you for sharing, Norma. We are fortunate to have such a dedicated gardener just a few steps across the street.
I know both sides of that coin. I love looking at other people's gardens but I also enjoyed it a lot when people looked at mine. Beauty is something we can all appreciate. I have also had jade plants and those are so beautiful. Such a beautiful green.

I'd like to be as a good gardener as your neighbor ! I never saw the last green plant ! The rose is beautiful. Here we just have buds, but as the temperature is very hot for the season, roses 'll be soon here !

That is nice to share her garden with you. I recognise some of those plants as I guess our climates are similar. The last one looks like a form of asparagus fern and we are not supposed to grow it as it becomes a pest in the natural environment.
