Sallie, I meant to drop by here earlier when you mentioned the castle you visited... and I'm glad I didn't forget... this really is an eccentric wonder. The "stuff" Solomon makes is creative and full of wonder, especially the stained glass. It might not be the place for me, but I'm happy there are people and places like this in our world.

Nicole

I love this place. I think that would be my type of people :D

Annie

It is a funny post ! Thanks to you... and to them ! In France we have a house like this one. It was built by a postman. It's the " facteur Cheval 's house". Cheval ("horse") is the man's name. While he delivered letters, he picked up brocken plates, stones etc. The whole "house" was built and dec orated with them !

What a neat place. We are heading to Beaufort,Hilton Head and Savannah.. Back soon

Margot

You found a gem of a tourist attraction. I love quirky little places like this that also have a human story added on.

This is wonderful. So glad to learn about this place. With a maiden name of Knight I have been a castle nut for most of my life. Would love to be able to say I lived in one but visiting them is the best I can do. Nice to know about another that does not require a trip to Europe.

Looks like a fun day. Hope you had a nice Easter.

kayni

i love the stained glass windows. i wish i could live in a castle too.

Pam

The stained glass windows certainly are beautiful.. and the castle is quite a unique structure. A lot of talent and hours of hard work went into both.
Thanks for the tour, Sallie.

B well, B happy,
Pam

THE SEEKER OF RUBY AND RED

The seeker of ruby and red
Will not let green go to her head;
Instead she will seek
Her senses to pique
With cherry and crimson instead.
