Esther Montgomery

Can't decide if the mask looks cross-eyed and friendly, surprised or sinister.

Yes, for snowbirds it looks really exotic ! We haven't this type of huts here just sun umbrellas but we need them : hot weather and no rain for weeks !

Ebie

This is the type of huts we have back home in the Phils. It is very cool especially that we only have wet and dry season.

I love the mask.

Margot

The thatched huts look polynesian or Hawaiian to me. They aren't what I associate with Florida, so this is a nice surprise. It has a different feel to it, in black and white. It's almost as if the picture was taken in the thirties or forties. Very classy.

Crafty Green Poet

would be lovely to have a picnic in one of those huts!

sandie czosek

That is so true - you have good weather all year round - you lucky ducks. Interesting pictures!

Carletta

I love the mask!
I need to stay out of the sun as much as possible and these would be a perfect place to retreat.

I'm thinking if you cropped the top of this image that mask would be a face with hair. :)

Martha

They are a bit different than what we see in the west, they are even decorated!

dianne

they're like organic gazebos!
I'd love to have a party there
the mask is wonderful

Krystal

I'm peeking at your pictures from the OBX. I am guessing we are at the same place. Or close to it. (We are at Camp Hatteras)

Jenn Jilks

I adore your photos! The huts amazing. Love your flowers, too. Thanks for visiting "Trip through the country"

diane

They look like a good idea to keep you cool and in the shade.

LaVoice

I am sure it would be a nice cool breeze while sitting here. You always find the neatest things to share.

Dimple

The mask is very good in black & white, and I'm sure the huts get used a lot!

Also, I got a kick out of "No Diving!"

Sondra

I adore the tiki hut look and the mask--awesome!

Sallie.....I agree with you....I adore this meme. I learn something interesting every week. B/W has been my choice forever I guess that is what I grew up with. I love the idea of the thatched huts...they are a bit romantic in their own way. I have a question for you...is there still a Gee and Jenson Engineers in Ft. Myers. It started in West Palm Beach and then moved to Cocoa/Titusville, and Ft. Myers. My daddy was with Col. Gee and Mr. Jenson when they started the firm.....just curious. Have a nice weekend...it is rainy and gloomy here BUT NO SNOW!

JM

I'm sure I would love that park. Just the name is so inviting!

Francisca

Exotic to some; like home to me. :-) The mask looks super in B+W.

Nicole

I wouldn't mind such a thatched hut over here! Looks so cozy!

Dragonstar

Fine photo of the mask inside the hut - and interesting information about the hut itself. Thank you.

Love that mask! Delightful and slightly scary...

Clair Z.

These seem so exotic to me!

Barb

That mask is perfect in B & W. I'd think the huts would provide some much-needed shade.

Karen

Great shots, interesting huts!

Lesley

does each hut have its own personal mask?
these look like they would be cooler than the usual wooden huts.

Goodies for a pleasant life

Good shots!
