Oh, I have seen them but could not figure out the name. I remember those "pods" hanging. Love the bold color!

LaVoice

Loved this beautiful post. I enjoy seeing what other places have in flowers that I have never seen. Very nicely done.

joco

How truly wonderful.
In fact, they seem at their prettiestwhen not completely out yet.
Especially against that blue sky.

Sallie, First of all, let me thank you for your lovely comments--I do so appreciate them. Secondly, wow, what a pretty tree--so bright and "flamboyant"! Enjoy those beautiful blue skies, lovely weather, and colorful flowers that are making life so pleasant at the moment. Have a terrific week. Mickie :)

dianne

the seed pods are interesting, the look as if someone tossed them up there

diane

They are a lovely shape too when out on their own. We have lots of them here too. They brighten up the suburbs.

bettyl

Royal Poincianas are spectacular trees with their bright orange blooms. There were several around here but they died of disease.
Lovely shots, Sallie

Your photos at the marina are lovely as well!

Bright and beautiful - a lovely welcome to spring. I'm surprised that they are still early in the bloom cycle, since Florida is so far south of here.

Rajesh

These Gulmohar trees look beautiful when in full bloom.

Lady Fi

That first shot is lovely with the mix of colours. Just enchanting!

Manang Kim

I am familiar with this tree we call it in the Philippines "Acacia" I don't know if they are the same but the flower looks like the same. This is really a very pretty tree!

I grew up with so any of these gorgeous trees in Palm Brach. There was a wonderful road called Royal Poinciana Way lined with them. Your pictures of them are beautiful and bring back many lovely memories form my childhood.

Yogi

That is beautiful. And you are right, the contrast with the Florida sky is wonderful.

Sarah

Interesting looking tree and I love the colours in the first photo. I like the seed pods too.

Sylvia Kirkwood
