FOR WORLD BIRD WEDNESDAY. On our son and daughter-in-law's patio (taken through a window -- not the best lighting, but still too good to miss!).
We're easy guests to entertain! Just put a robin's nest outside the dining room window. All four of us are having a wonderful time watching the babies' progress.
We can see them grow each day. We'll be gone when they fledge -- but I hope Geoff and Lisa are home from work and get to see the big event.
In france red robins are little birds. This one looks so big (and beautifuL).
What a chance to look at them ! A few years ago, we find a blackbird nest in our rose-bush. We spent amazing days to look at it from the beginning to the day when the parents pushed down the babies ! Our cat was too very interesting but staid quite !

Do they hang around in winter? My daughter worked in a 7th floor building, She saw a sea gull nest. I must remind her to give me the photos.

You're always commenting about what's outside my window Sallie.
I think this time you have the best window seat. :)
Terrific shots! I'm envious.

That's neat, I've never seen a bird box like that. I'm afraid the swallows nesting in my bird box will get too hot again this year as the weather has gone from unseasonably cool to hot.
