FOR WEEKEND REFLECTIONS and SHADOW SHOT SUNDAY.
We have reached the first major destination for our Summer road trip -- Longmont Colorado -- where we are visiting our kids. We dropped in to see these old friends at Benson Sculpture Park in nearby Loveland.
What a beautiful pond! Love the shadow in the bottom shot.

I see these kind of sculptures in blogland quite a bit. I'd so love to photograph some.
Your second shot is a terrific and crisp shadow shot!
So glad you are safely that far. Enjoy the time spent with family.

Longmont, Loveland, and Benson Park are all new to me, but I think I'd enjoy those sculptures and the natural setting. The first one, with the broom, is particularly fun.

A sculpture park--what a fun place! No wonder you go back at every opportunity!
SHADOWY DINNER
A shadow, a shadow, a shadow you say?
A shadow is coming to dinner today?
Oh, what shall we feed it, and what will it eat?
Just toss down a few rays of light at its feet,
And watch its dark mouth gobble up every ray,
But be sure, my friend, you don’t get in its way;
Keep out of the light so it won’t gobble you.
(If I were the hostess, that’s just what I’d do.)
A shadow is easy to feed, so they say,
So welcome your shadow to dinner today.

A sculpture park, what a great idea. I love these photos, Sallie. The shadow of the figure in the second photo looks like the shadow of a real child.

What fantastic shadow shots! Looks like such a lovely park! The second shadow shot is particularly beautiful as it is so sharp and clear! At first glance it is easy to believe it is a real person! A really superb statue/detail! Hope you're having a wonderful visit with family, Sallie! Enjoy!
