Sallie, the scenery looks fantastic. What a neat train next to the river and canyon. My hubby would love this one.

So beautiful with snow over the mountains and the wild river. Here snow is gone but the river are like this one because of the storms !

What a fabulous route! Love those snow clad mountains in the background. Narrow gauge tracks cover some stunning landscapes and these are beautiful!!!

Nice shots - I would love to take this railroad one of these days. It's one of those things on my list to do before I leave Colorado.

How exciting to take a train ride through such magnificent scenery.
I'm jealous, Sallie.. I guess I missed the train so I will just enjoy it through your awesome photos.. thanks!

you haven't missed much on the east coast.. except, smoke fill air from wild fires, gray skies and afternoon thunder storms. Enjoy you visiting time.. be well and happy :D

I'm glad you didn't stick your neck out when the train was hugging the canyon wall, Sallie! But not surprised we share a love of drive-by shooting. These are marvelous. But when did get on a train? What happened to the van?

[I can't swear to it, but I think the stakes on the farm are for vineyards. I've had some lovely wine in Romania!]

TexWisGirl

wow. neat scenes from a sweet train!

Joy

What a great little train, love steam. Sitting on a narrow gauge train and the scenery drifting past is a great way to see a valley, so unique to go through a canyon.

Jane

Beautiful countryside, very lush and love the mountains in the distance. Thanks for sharing:)
