THIS POST IS LINKED TO WORLD BIRD WEDNESDAY. Go visit Springman, the host, and all the wonderful bird posts there. We are on the road -- this is a flashback to the first day of our trip, still in Florida.
LOOK AT ME! Stop searching for lunch. Turn around and look at me -- I'm so handsome!
Really -- I'm still here. Over here.... turn around!
Look....just just focus on my beautiful feathers -- ignore my bald head! I'm really a very handsome guy.
Cool shots of the storks, Sallie! I would love to see one in person. They are neat looking birds.

Eagle Lake's Merrill campground is the only forest service campground I have ever seen with hook-ups! If your travels take you anywhere near the Susanville area I'd recommend it.

Amazing :D
And she totally ignores that poor chap :D
I just now realized that your storks look totally different than ours (the old world storks?)

Very handsome and...big ! In Alsace where I lived before, we could see storks, so beautiful with their orange beak and legs. They are supposed to bring babies... Is-it the same in United-States ?

I love to watch the courting behavior. These creatures are quite entertaining.

Oh Sallie, Your right, we are sharing storks this week! Yours are the "real" wild kind as opposed to mine which was a bit of a set up being taken at the Shorebirds Rehab in Florida of a tame bird. I was able to use a super sharp 50mm prime lens that gives razor sharp detail. I get no extra points for shooting in a zoo! How I would like to see them such as you have! ;-)WBW

His fan dance is just not working for her. Picky, picky stroke girl doesn't seem to be interested in him at all.
Nice series of shots, Sallie.
Happy trails and tales,
Pam
