FOR WATERY WEDNESDAY
For a couple of slowpokes, we're moving along pretty quickly on this leg of our road trip -- really just traveling, not touring. But we have found some lovely watery places to spend the nights. Great parks for stretching road-weary legs and lovely water to look at while unwinding before dinner and bedtime.
Night one (still in Florida -- we had some planned work done on the Roadtrek in Nokomis). That's Oscar Sherer State Park
Night two -- the mallards at a fishing pond in the RV Park in Albany Georgia
Night three -- Lake Lurleen State Park, Coker Alabama
Night four -- JJ RV Park Hot Springs Arkansas (that's a picture from Fall 2008 -- we are parked right now at the exact same spot we had back then. It's greener -- and hotter -- now.)
Mm, yeah, those watery places look very nice. It's a serene sight, and a great place to camp in for a night or two. The pics look wonderful!

Traveling across country is great fun, especially if you can travel by an Rv. I enjoyed looking through your travels and pics. Keep traveling and enjoy not being on a clock. My front tag on my truck says," Retired with nothing to do and all day to do it."

You're boogieing right along, Sallie! I guess JV parks have wifi these days...?

Water soothes the senses whether in it or looking at it.
I wish you safe travels on your trip West.
Happy Trails! :)

Hi Sallie, Sorry to tell you its hot here in Denver, too. We're getting some haze from the AZ fires. Glad your trip is going well.

How wonderful to be able to sleep by the water every night.

Water is soothing and restful - great idea to use that proximity to chose your spot for the evening. You have an interesting variety of watery venues, too.

Stopping to sleep near water—the very best idea. My parents travelled by road for many years, and Mother always liked to camp near water, preferably running water but, if none was available, any water would do to lull her to sleep.
