for WORLD BIRD WEDNESDAY and WATERY WEDNESDAY
A gull seems to be leading a parade of terns along an Atlantic Ocean beach. (This is a flashback post -- we are near the Pacific Coast currently.)
My bird books are in Florida and I can't identify the variety of either bird.
Cool shot. Those terns are lovely.

There's a leader in every pack, isn't there? Those orange beaks give a lovely pop of color to the image, Sallie.

Hi there - I'm confident to say that they are terns!!! Are they Royals?
Crest? - Tick White forehead?- Tick Orange Bill? Tick Coastal? - Tick
This is a bit of an ill-informed stab in the dark from the depths of Australia based on a rather poor book! (so there's a good chance that they are nothing of the sort!)
Cheers - Stewart M

You had me tricked for a minute, I thought you must have made a dash for the east coast. I love the bright orange beaks.

Lovely catch! They should be easy ones for US birders,... have you tried birdforum.net - they have a section in their forum for bird IDs and the guys there are helpful and usually fast.
:)
Good Luck & have fun out there :)

I love the beaks...they are so pretty. Such a lovely shot. The water looks a bit choppy.
