I must confess I like "Boot Scootin' Boogie" and not only can dance it but taught all my students to dance it as well.

I like the country! Good thing, since that's where I live! ;-) I don't see too many of the dead-end signs, though. I must not drive in the right places!

I really like these posts about signs. Every time I see that you have one I smile. I know it will be good. I know exactly where you are - not the location but the type of area where all-things-country is how life is defined. (I have the B&D album and know the song well.)

I love the wildlife you encountered!
A few miles from civilization sounds awesome!

Sallie, You just KNOW when you're at the end of the line sometimes! What a treat to be surrounded by all those beautiful things in nature, and even get photos too!! Lovely. Have a terrific weekend. Mickie :)

Wonderful country sights and signs. I looked right into the eyes of a coyote this morning--he was maybe 15 feet away. I know he checks my chicken coop every morning, just in case we forgot to lock the door. And here I thought I was living close to the city!

This sounds like it would be a nice quiet, tranquil place to go and relax.

Love your mosaic, Sallie. Anything with wild animals is a favorite of mine, like the deer and turkey. Brooks and Dunn are my favorite singers, it was sad to see them break the duo up.

I like roads to connect to another road. It seems such a shame to go to all that trouble to build a road just to have it suddenly end.

Love the rural mosaic! Lovely.

Wow, it sounds very tranquil. Hope you are have a great time. Jude

Leckeres für Mensch und Katze - Goodies for a pleasant life

You are good in german - Darth Vader - lol :)

I like roads far less traveled... but the end of the road will do too! How blissful your nature photos!

Sallie, the sign reminds me of seniors blindly following their GPS. I had an incident this year follow mine. The paved road turned into a dirt road and that gave me a bad feeling. When I came across a sign that said "road washed our ahead" I knew it was time to turn around.

Interesting signs and a beautiful collage! The place looks so laid back and calm. You sure must have spent some wonderful time there :)

I can't find an email address for you so I'll answer here. You didn't miss the map before I have only just put it up and backdated it. I should have done it in the beginning.

It sure is nice to be out in the country but I'd rather listen to my own music or better still just the sounds of nature.

Sounds idyllic!

I almost got up and started dancing. ALMOST. ;)

Now it's my turn to catch up. At the cabin we are so far out in the country we don't even have internet. We could find a "hot spot" in town but it doesn't seem worth the effort.

Patrick's Point is not on the closure list. If you didn't get a chance to google it here is the map link (if it works in a post)if not Around California August 4 was Patrick's Point and you can find it there.

I agree, it must be pretty quiet out there.

Luna Miranda

i wonder what's beyond the dead end.:p

nice. :)

That's what you call "getting away from it all"! Must be pretty quiet out there.

Boy, oh boy, do we have gobs of those signs here is our county....and the number seems to be growing yearly. Your prosaic is lovely...glowers, berries, deer, duck, turkeys...I think..and water. What more could a person ask for? Nothing. Genie :-)
