That first shot is a gorgeous view Sallie!
Nice captures of the heron even if he didn't want to hang around.
'a healthy dose of watching other people work' - love it!!

Great pic of the blue heron. We have plain, ordinary white ones here, I saw one perched on top of a leylandi across the field, but he was too far away for my little camera.
The dog looks happy and contented, being spoiled as usual no doubt.

I am really fond of herons too. There used to be one that hung out here on the Peace River and I never did get a good picture of him. They are lovely birds.

Now, Sallie, that is my kind of walk. What fabulous shots of the heron. So majestic and regal and, dare I say, in this case, stawart? Lovely photos.

I love the last shot. A cuddle with a big yellow dog is so soothing to the soul.

Your nothing is something to us! Sharing your beautiful fall pictures. That's a beautiful landscape with all great reflections. What is so surprising is that the clouds are in straight horizontal lines.

Oh, admit it, you really wanted that heron to take flight so you could capture a shot of his great wingspan!

LOL! Everyone looks very comfortable in that last shot!
Wonderful heron shots showing its grace and elegance.
