I think, the only pink bird we have in France is the flamingo : we can see it just in Camargues, in the south . Your shot (digital or not) are always beautiful ! Thanks to you !

Pam

Hi Sallie, they are beautiful to look at aren't they. My sister and and I once encountered a flamingo as it flew across the road right in front of us. Pink birds look so lovely and are easy to spot.

hugs,
Pam

Ive never seen these in the wild!! SO it would be awesome to add one to my life list!!

Jean

Sallie, I agree that seeing a pink bird would be magical. I have yet to add this bird to my List but when I do I will remember this post.:)

Ebie

Hi Sallie, I have never saw a pink bird, except for the flamingos. Sorry, I had to repeat what Joo said, but that's what's in my mind when I saw the photo.

Pat

Gorgeous birds! I like that nest shot!

joo

Hi Sallie,
The only pink bird I know (from the zoo!) is flamingo. The one here is amazing:)

Stewart M - Australia

Hi there - we have two species of spoonbill in Australia - both white. Pink would be a bit of a shock!

Nice story.

Birds are fascinating to watch and hard to capture on camera. These are beauties and I love the shape of their beak , very handy.

Spoonbills are a gorgeous bird Sallie. I would love to see one someday. Thanks for sharing your beautiful experience!

Barb

These pink birds are visions! I'd love to see them in person.

TexWisGirl

they are such unique looking birds! :)

Penny

I'm excited seeing your pictures! I am especially drawn to the nest. Such a big bird in such a matronly pose.

Hildred

What lovely birds, Sallie. Your pictures are beautiful too, and make a wonderful substitute for seeing them in all their birdlike splendour, as I am not likely ever to do.

Eileen

The Roseate Spoonbill is a beautiful bird. What a great sighting and photos. A few years ago one of these birds made up to the Delaware-Md line. Of course I missed seeing it, I had to work at that time.

Martha

We saw them on a visit to Ding Darling several years ago. They are hard to miss with their bright color.

dreamfalcon

I do remember seeing my first Roseate Spoonbill: what a color and what a bill :-)

Mick

Very pretty bird. Much nicer than the plain white ones I see here!

Andrew

Hi Sallie.. Your Spoonbill is a beauty... ours are all white but the Roseate is so lovely to see..
Hope alls well with you..it's starting to get quite cold over here.. xx

Boom & Gary

They are beauties, Sallie!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
