FOR NATURE'S FOOTSTEPS - WATERS
The grass in the foreground is the same spot where earlier in the summer I took many pictures of grebes swimming. Much of the water is gone now as the reservoir is being drained for flood control. The wading birds enjoy easy pickings. Their prey is being "herded" into the remaining water as the lake recedes.
That first shot is a beauty! He looks a little lonely though.

Hi there - nice pictures - I wonder if your bird is the same species as ours.

I noticed that egrets are quite photogenic. They can stay put for me to take photos.

Egrets are fun to watch.. they stand so still just waiting for a fish to swim within their reach.
Nice shots, Sallie.. thanks for stopping by.
Be well and Happy.

Wonderful shots, Sallie, and such a peaceful, end-of-season sort of feel to these. Enjoy the day.
