FOR WORLD BIRD WEDNESDAY (a flashback to an earlier trip).
We are on a roadtrip and now we actually ARE heading south. (Our first stop was in Washington State -- North from our summer stay in Oregon). Now, like the geese, we are finally heading the right direction.
This is an old picture (from way before World Bird Wednesday). It was taken at Bosque Del Apache in New Mexico. Here's a link to ourTypepad photo album of that great spot. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did. This is definitely a spot we would recommend for birding.

Just wonderful against the evening sky.

Great bird shots. It must be a fabulous sight to see the geese filling the sky and grey nomads (snow geese) filling the roads travelling south.

Great photo. I think there's nothing quite so beautiful as birds flying against a sky like that!

Beautiful spot, beautiful photo. You must be enjoying your "flight" to the south. I think the cranes are now at the the Bosque, you should stop in. One of our favorite memories is of watching a coyote family hunting mice in a field near there. They pounced just like cats.
