FOR WORLD BIRD WEDNESDAY (go visit!). Thank you Dave.
Spotted on a morning walk along our canal toward the end where this light pole is, the osprey was sitting so quietly that at first I didn't even think it was a bird. He didn't move much for about half-an-hour -- just looked left and right -- searching for something to eat.
And finally giving up and flying off. (I was ready for breakfast by that time too!)

That's just stunning! Got a new camera for Xmas - will have to check & see if it's got a 'great shot click now' button!!!!

Hi there - splendid capture. I like the fact that people can be wathing the same species all over the world.
Hope you have a good New Year.
Glad you liked the "Accidentally West" post - the whole idea was to have two different parts - a kind of light and dark thing.

Lovely shots, Sallie. I haven't yet gotten close enough to an osprey to get a good picture...
The number 300 refers to how many posts I have published since I started my blog, not quite 3 years ago. It was the best title I could think of!
