ramblingwoods

I really want to plant some in the shady spots in our yard..have to find a native one that can tolerate it..I love them

Al

Beautiful shots - ferns certainly don't survive in Colorado where I live!

Mama Zen

Excellent shots!

Jenn Jilks

Such beautiful greenery! I love the grapefruit, too. I'm always surprised to see palm trees. Our flora is so different up here!

bettyl

Ferns grow well here and I never tire of seeing them pop their heads up!

ann nz

love fern, love edible ferns in Borneo.

Stewart M - Australia

Hi there - Nice picture of a neglected plant. I think that ferns (and moss for that matter) are much overlooked. People get carried away with flowers as if there is no other beauty in the plant kingdom! (There, I've got that off my chest!)

Gattina

Ferns are nice they make it all green !

Red Nomad OZ

An interesting challenge! I like the perspective you get in the transition from macro to micro!! Or have I got that the wrong way round ...

Lady Fi

So lush and leafy! Hopefully we'll be seeing some green soon.

Nick

Beautiful shots, Sallie. I love ferns and we several species growing in our garden.

Geogypsy

They are so lush. I too remember how dense the ferns could be in the PNW. Don't see them too often in AZ, but always a good sign of water when you do.

Shirley

Lovely, so refreshing to see green.

Carver

I wouldn't have thought ferns would do well in Florida either. I guess in addition to moisture being in deep shade would help.

Far Side of Fifty Photos

Lovely ferns! :)

Ebie

Going green! These ferns are lovely, sometime I like to add in my flower arrangement!

Barb

Hi Sallie, I just love the frilliness of ferns. I did like seeing so many of them while visiting OR. Not so many in CO - and none at altitude. Lovely pics.

texwisgirl

Very pretty! don't get to see ferns here.

thecrazysheeplady

Great shots! Gorgeous color.

hazelisles

Excellent-these Blogs/challenges certainly keep one's eyes open!

donna

I wanted to participate in Sunday Stills, but don't seem to be able to accomplish anything in a timely manner. I've always loved the look of ferns and the ones in your photo look very happy to be growing in Florida.

Ed

Excellent shots and welcome to Sunday Stills..:-)
