Here are some spectacular late August sunrises over the Lake. (Sharing at SKYWATCH FRIDAY. )
I was awake and outside for this one:
The collage below is from a different morning. I saw it through the window but didn't get outside on time, so I was really happy that our next door neighbor was out there and shared his pictures with me. The beautiful morning light really only lasts a few minutes. (Thanks Pat. )
Happy Skywatching everybody!
That is one intense photo!

I never tire of seeing the interplay of sun and water.

That is the most spectacular and promising sunrise I've seen, Sallie. Being up early has it advantages, doesn't it? I've been doing some catching up since my time away, and have enjoyed all your recent posts, especially that nuthatch.

That's a great set of pictures!
The tourism police let me off with a good behaviour bond - so I'm safe for a while!
Thanks for all the comments - it has been a busy week - I had to fly to Dubai, so I was with most of my "readers" in the northern hemisphere for a week!
I think they may be even more types of oystercather than you think - because oura are a different species to the black ones in the US.
