This beautiful start to an early October day is linked to the blogging communities at SKYWATCH FRIDAY** and STRAIGHT-OUT-OF-THE-CAMERA . **
What a way to start the morning!
These pictures were taken last week about three minutes apart. The first two are through the picture window.
The last was taken from the yard (as soon as I could get my shoes on and get out there):
Today the morning sky told a different -- and grayer -- story. But I'm holding on to these October memories for as long as I can!

Nice photos Sallie. In just looking at a photo I can't tell if it is a sunrise or sunset. LOL

These are fantastic photographs of sunrise. The sun is so huge and the sky is amazing with such beautiful colors.
We can't see the sunrise where I live. The sun is hidden behind the mountains. We greet only the sunsets.
Beautiful photography and very impressive.

Absolutely fabulous shots. It doesn't take long for the scene to change, no time to put on shoes. You have to become a barefoot photographer.
