Linked to Scenic Weekends**
Serving up some weekend leftovers with this picture from last summer's roadtrip.
The picture was taken near the top of Park Point, in Mesa Verde National Park. There were better views of the wide vistas, and those were what I posted last summer. But both times we walked up to this highest spot in the Park, we stopped here a while (to rest) and to marvel at this view through the veil of the ghost-like trees.
Click here and on the blue above for more Mesa Verde Views .

That's a beautiful photo, Sallie. I just came from a digital photography class where they talked about landscape shots, and your photo fulfills all the criteria. Lovely!

Now you're in my neck of the woods, Sallie. I bet it's cold there tonight and maybe there is snow in the air.

Love it! And thanks for the memories.
When I worked at Mesa Verde I found all the burnt trees rather sculptural.

LOVE the way you framed the scene through those lovely branches!
That's looks really high up.
I'm thinking this is a new meme I should check out. :)

Love how the branches seem to create an artwork of their own over the scene! This is glorious!

(P.S. The link was open on my SW post, so it was quite OK to link up!)
