No grand and glorious vistas for SCENIC WEEKENDS this time ... just these pictures from Caloosahatchie Creeks Nature preserve, which is right next door to our RV Park. Thanks to Gemma for hosting and to Mary who hosts MOSAIC MONDAY, where this post is also linked.
We don't ever seem to see much wildlife in this preserve, although we know there are birds and we can see signs of animal life too.
But it's a lovely bonus to have this quiet and shady retreat within easy walking distance. Especially when we're been too busy to visit other beautiful places. (I do need my frequent scenic fixes!)
Really beautiful! I have been enjoying your other posts too. All lovely!

You're lucky to have such open landscape so near you, Sallie. Have you ever tried to say "Caloosahatchie" fast 3X?

This reminds me that I want to plant some ferns this year if I am able to..

That long hanging moss reminds me of Tarzan ropes.

Caloosahatchie is a fun word to pronounce. It's so pretty there, too! With the palms, fern, and moss it sorta looks like my neck of the woods. :)

Ferns and moss, two of my favorites. Might you ever see an alligator there? I'm afraid to hear the answer. ha ha

Amazingly tropical - could have been taken in far north Queensland (FNQ) up Cairns way,(even areas around Brisbane, the Gold or Sunshine Coasts), Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Bali or Thailand. Looks like you have the best of two Worlds to enjoy.
Cheers

Love all the scenic varieties of green! Really beautiful! It is strange! There is no theme for this week's Scenic Weekends meme, yet so far we have all opted to post scenic greens!
