Lot's of great photos! I love watching sea birds flitting around.

Wally

Saltwater, sand, sun, birds. You just described my very definition of "excitement"!
Thank you for sharing your day! We hope to visit there next week.

Neil

Great series.

Tami

How fun to see a great collection of so many species!

scmonckton@optusnet.com.au

Great set of birds - I wonder how many of them would be new for me?

Cheers and thanks for linking to WBW.

Nice to have some time outside. Love the white pelicans, maybe because we don't have them here in my country!
Greetings Pia

Gail

Delighted by the shore birds. We don't have that many here in town, so it's always a treat to see photos of them. The young pelicans are really sweet, too. Looks like a good birding day to me. :)

Sharon Wagner

I was just on Sanibel hoping to see spoon bills. I also saw the white pelicans. So pretty. It looks like a beautiful day there.

Annie

I just saw pelicans one time in all my life . It was in Mexico, we were swimming and two of them flaw just over our heads. I was a bit afraid by so big birds. But it's now a wonderful memory !

Gattina

Very beautiful shots !

Sounds (and looks) like a wonderful outing, Sallie. Love the bird photos and the guys who got left behind!!! I have had those feelings at times when the children were young - just fly away!!!!

Carletta

It looks like you had a lot to enjoy!
I love my backyard birds but seeing the mix of yours would be a treat. Love those pelicans. They should be getting a move on. Wayward children. :)

SandyCarlson

I love the sea life here! Great shots, as always. Thank you!

Al

Beautiful photos. "Starting to get hot" - I guess I can dream as our cold, grey spring refuses to let go.

Carver

Wonderful shots of the birds. Looks like a great day trip.

TexWisGirl

cool! i thought the horseshoe crabs were turtles until i read your recap. :)

Karen

Oh, I love pellies. Great captures.

NatureFootstep Photo

I´d call that a great birding. You have no idéa how I have to go around to see birds. My area is rather poor in that respect. I´m happy to see 5 vaders.

Leovi

Good shot, beautiful birds! Wonderful photos!
Saludos.

diane

There looks like heaps of birds to me. Hope the pelicans survive without their parents. Its nice to get away from projects now and then.

Eileen

Sallie, I loved visiting Sanibel and Ding Darling. I think I saw the same two White Pelicans too. Love the mosiac and pic's. Have a great evening!

Hootin' Anni

I've been patiently waiting around this part of our birding spots to see some baby white pelicans. Someday.

Your photos are a GREAT mixed bag of birds. I like this kind of post.

fjällripan

Oh I would love to see the pelicans in real! Great photos of all the birds.

Your beach photos are great. Wish I could be magically transported there to see and photograph your shorebirds which look a bit different from the ones I see down here. Thanks for your very nice comment on my blog post.

HansHB
