Save Our Seabirds in Sarasota is a rescue and rehabilitation facility for injured wild birds (not just sea birds, although that's how they started). We saw these three great horned owls there -- and although they weren't flying free right at that moment, the goal of SOS is to return them to their real home, so I am linking to Stewart's WILD BIRD WEDNESDAY.
They reminded me somehow of pictures of the "See No Evil...." monkeys.

Sleeping owls are so cute ! I hope they 'll be fine soon !

Dearest Sallie,
They are concidered as a bird which bring us good fortune in Japan. What a great shot of brave birds (yes, three of them do remind me the monkey version as well)
Sending you lots of love and hugs from Japan, xoxo Miyako*

Fortunately there are people who realise that the animal world is so important for us that we must do whatever we can to preserve it.
Thanks for this post!

Wonderful close-up of the owls there Sallie. It left me wondering if one rescue centre has three of the magnificent owls, how many more are there being injured in some way.

Lots of these poor birds are starving here in the Northern European countries because the winter is so unusually long. People try to safe them !
