Prem

those are pretty good acceptable reasons I think. yes, wildlife they need to be wild at times even for just a day. :D

pat

It makes sense to me! I'd like at least one day a week with little or no phone contact...

Gemma Wiseman

That is a very good idea! And good that they choose to inform the public as to why they close! Certainly encourages appreciation and understanding!

katerchen

gut wenn es Ruhetage gibt

Carver

That is funny. I bet the birds are happy to have the place to themselves.

VioletSky

It all makes sense once you read the reasons and think about it, but at first, I thought it a bit strange.

NatureFootstep Photo

seems like a good idéa actually. :)

Linda

I would! A break, with out company, is always nice!

That makes sense to me! We have areas at Bluebonnet Swamp that are left alone because we understand that the animals need some place that is undisturbed by humans. Sometimes I am tempted to go down some of those trails though...but I resist somehow. lol

Lady Fi

Nature needs a rest from us, right? I like the signs.

craftygreenpoet

what a nice idea to give the wildlife a day off!

Luna Miranda

i guess being "wild" is a lot of work, too.:p
TGIF, indeed.

Arti

That is so thoughtful! Holiday for the birds and animals must be some fun for them!

Eileen

It is nice that the animals get a break. When we were there I planned to go to Ding Darling on Friday, glad I found out it was closed we went on Saturday.

Lindy

We visited there many years ago (1990) and we loved it. Great signs! Everyone's supposed to rest one day a week...
;-)

Inside Cambodia

Now that is wildlife protection all about! Here you would never see that kind of sign, unfortunately.

Suzanne

Oh good! It is probably good for them.

Karen

I bet they are all having a beer and playing poker ;)

Lesley

finally got to your signs link (I don't know why this is such a problem for you either - but I am glad you keep persevering!)
This is a good idea - and I like the explanation.

Dana

I think that's great!

TexWisGirl

oh, that's a good practice!

Ewok

so the wildlife gets friday off? good for them.

Taken For Granted

I love feeding and resting, so I can understand why the park is closed one day a week.

Andy

That's funny. Everyone needs a day off.

RedPat

I just noticed the 2nd link and it worked. ;-)

RedPat

I've been there and love that place!
I had a problem with your link from Signs, Signs.

JoAnnn Bayne

Great signs - I had no idea.
