This time of year here in Fort Myers, you don't know what to expect of a day from the morning skies.
Sometimes soft lovely mornings like these give way later in the day to wild rainstorms with thunder and lightning.
You will not see pictures of lightning here (not if I have anything to say about it). In between thunderclaps I might step as far as the screen porch to take a picture of the driving rain. But that is all.
I'm grateful for modern weather forecasting. Because I'd hate to plan a day of outside activities based on those beautiful morning skies -- and then get caught out there in this.
For SKYWATCH FRIDAY. Thanks to Yogi and the hosting team.
I like the variety from lovely morning to needed rain.Great shots.

I love stormy weather - but not when I have outdoor activities planned.
Your collage is really neat.

That's tropical weather for ya! We have a similar climate and I love it because as fast as the rain comes, it's soon gone. Usually. Wonderful shots of the rain, Sallie. Hoping you have a weekend filled with sunshine!

Dearest Sallie,
Wonderful collage of the changeable weather☆☆☆ Well, I never knew Florida has unexpected one and I could see how the weather forecast must be important for you.
I hope you are going to have a wonderful coming weekend.
Sending you lots of love and hugs from Japan, xoxo Miyako*

Very creative and nice photos.
I do not like lightening and as hard as I try, I have never taken a decent photo of it...

I'm leery of lightning. I knew somebody when I was a kid who was killed by lightning and that tends to wake you up!

I love a good thunderstorm, as long as I am inside!

i'm not a good lightning person either! :)

I'm loving your sunsets. We don't get a lot of lightning and thunder here in NZ--just drizzle, mostly.

I'm scared of thunder and lightning, I'd probably not fare well with FL.

We had storms this morning. The thunder woke me at six. It sounded like a cannon. :)
Lovely soft skies Sallie!
I really like your shots on top of the screen shot - unique.
Hope you have sunny skies for the weekend!
