It's good to be back in Oregon (and blog-land) after our twelve-day cross-country roadtrip. (I took pictures as we traveled but found it hard to actually do anything with them, so I may be posting about the trip for weeks.)
These are from beautiful Colorado, where we spent a few days a week ago. I never think about the mountains when we're in flatland Florida, but on first sight, I realize how much I've missed them!
Both these pictures are taken from the exact same spot. The alpine flowers seemed to reflect the beautiful blue sky.
We stayed with our son and daughter-in-law and, because they live there, Colorado is of course always a part of OUR WORLD .
When we first got to the state, the skies were a little smoky from the terrible fires. But by Sunday when the four of us drove up to Rocky Mountain National Park, the sun was shining, skies were once again our favorite Colorado blue, and we were all happy.
Visit the links on OUR WORLD hosted by Jennifer and the OW team. Thanks!
Beautiful....

Am back too ... that is, in L.A.! It took me a while to get used to it again, since I always leave a part of me in Europe. The mountains and flowers are gorgeous! The mountains and weather is what I love about California:)

Our daughter lives in Cotopaxi, between Canon City and Salida, at 9000 feet. We love to visit; it is so beautiful. You've posted two very beautiful pictures here and I'll look forward to many more.

Oh how I would love to be in the Rockies again although that seems a star too far in this lifetime. I had my first face-to-face encounter with a young wolf there.
Sooo nice to have you back Sallie.

Colorado looks like a beautiful state but does the altitude cause problems? Pat from "Mille Fiori" blog has just moved there from New York. I'm glad to see you back in blogland and I am looking forward to your photos and stories. I am still writing about our trip to Far North Qld.
