We have hummingbirds!
Life is good!
My best guess is that this is an Allen's Hummingbird.

I'm so excited to see these hummingbirds, Sallie. I can never seem to get close enough, or move fast enough, to capture the ones that feed here. I love how you captured one in your first photo.

What beautiful photos. I especially love the second one. I have never seen a hummingbird in the flesh and would love to.

I don't know much about them, but we usually have a few buzzing around our backyard. They are VERY territorial...
Love them!

Hummingbirds are so beautiful! I bet you're overjoyed seeing them :-)

I'm just a wee bit jealous as I've never been able to get a good photo of a hummingbird. Our daughter in Colorado has a feeder on a 2nd-floor deck and they swarm around that at certain times of the year.
Very nice shots!

Wha a cute little guy (or girl)! I see them in the spring and fall. I guess it's fall because I have one buzzing my flowers right now.

I love hummers. I would love to see more of the hummers from the west, since we only see the Ruby-throated here. Have a happy day!

I know mine will be leaving soon and that makes me sad.
Love the colors shown in the bottom shot and look at how the top shot shows it literally hanging in air in the first one for a nip at the nectar!
