Last Tuesday, I posted about our raft trip on the McKenzie (here) and showed pictures as we shot through Marten Rapids. Here are some of the pictures I took of the calmer parts of this beautiful river.

Beautiful shots of the river! It must have been fun riding the rapids. I kind of like the calmer sections of the river, more like a float trip! Have a happy week!

And if you were wondering, those Garden of the Gods photos were taken in the very early morning, before work, to catch the gorgeous morning light, which will be more evident in my next post.

Dearest Sallie,
Haha, calmer parts♪♪♪ The wooden drift boats really matches with the great scenic beauty; thanks for the word "pristine" from your friend p;) Yes, I feel jealous as well(*^_^*)
Sending you lots of love and hugs from Japan, xoxo Miyako*

Oh, my, I just love a river. We are thinking that our next trip will be a few days near a river. We won't be doing anything so adventurous as you, but I will love to wade in the water and just LOOK at that river.

Omigod. I'm very jealous. I wouldn't raft on rivers with bad rapids but this looks delightful! Kudos to you. The whole area is so pristine and so lush and so beautiful.

Looks like you've been having some wonderful adventures too Sallie... leg up on a pillow, but not quite as puffy as a pillow like it was a few days ago, thank goodness.

What a gorgeous river that seems to have many moods. Like an invitation to an adventure.
In answer to your question about the Heronswood organic garden, the vegies are served fresh in the restaurant there. I'm adding a note on the post in case anyone else wonders too.
