More blue and gold loveliness from our recent visit to Eastern Washington.
Pretty sure these are all different pictures from the roadtrip landscapes posted the other day for Our World.
For this post, linked to SKYWATCH FRIDAY, I tried to include those that best showed the beautiful blue. Except for the amazing sunset we had the first night of this trip, the skies were cloudless.
I know that wind machines are controversial in many places, but I liked the way they looked lined up against the sky. I don't think that Eastern Washington is a major bird flyway, so I hope they are OK here. There is definitely a lot of wind.
Thank you to Yogi, Sylvia, and Sandy for SKYWATCH FRIDAY
Gorgeous photos! Blue and gold is my favorite combination :)

Endless seas of gold under brilliant blue skies. I find the wind turbines sculptural but don't like them because of the birds and bats.

Excellent shots and the blue and gold colors make them pop. I'm one of those against the wind turbines for the birds' sake. Enjoy your travels and keep coming back to share!

I remember years ago seeing a wind farm on the hills of Shetland. It seemed a blot on the
And scape then. Now the wind turbines are a fact of life....

Beautiful landscapes where sky meets land, that is what I love about the west, here we have so many trees its hard to see the horizon!

Gorgeous Sallie! I felt very fortunate to see all the wheat growing along our route. Truly spectacular sights!

Hadn't thought about "blue & gold" in this context, but it's a perfect description for these photos!

Beautiful shots! I think those wind turbines look cool. We saw them recently leaving the Grand Canyon. I didn't think about the bird injuries though. Yuk!

Beautiful landscapes!
Each photo I looked at I kept thinking 'amber waves of grain'.
I for one love the wind turbines. Whenever we are traveling and see some we try to get as close as possible. Something about them draws me in. :)
Thanks so much for your sweet comments about my little Grandgirls. Don't know what we did without them. :)
