Dahlias are such stunning flowers!

First thank you for your sweet words on my blog.
Dahlia's I love and this is the time of year that I will always buy them at the florist.
Have a nice week.

Thank you for the spring greetings.

I was a bit concerned about pinning my political colours to the mast in my blog - it can be such a divisive issue. But I can "pay attention" but then pretend that the election result does not matter. I think I may have to be more involved in the next election.

Marvelous photos of the different Dahlias. So beautiful !
Best regards, Synnöve

Beautiful pictures, such nice rich colours. Well done with the effects too. I must try that out :)

Gorgeous! I love dahlias. I've never tried to grow them myself though.

I loved seeing these photos. I realized, looking at them, that although we do have flowers here in the desert, they are so different from the ones I am used to. I can't help myself, but I miss peonies, and sweet peas, and dahlias. I do spend a lot of time noticing the flowers we DO have, though.

Beautiful portrait of these flowers!

I love Dahlias and usually have a couple in pots every yr. I took them up already this yr to store...
Love these photos!!

Your dahlias are gorgeous.Sallie, thank you for sharing and for the sweet comments you left for me.

I always mean to grow dahlias - and then never do. Or, if I manage to plunk one or two into the ground, I forgot to take them out for winter, which we need to do hear. No matter, Sallie, for your photos are so beautiful I feel like they are right in front of me now.

Lovely flowers-I had steamed up windows this morning and switched on the central heating for the first time this autumn!
I looked up your park-it is beautiful with a great history!

It is summer the whole year in Malaysia.

I am learning to love dahlias this year - have a few in pots and they make a lovely showing.

All beautiful shots! Very creative.

Those are beautiful dahlias. I used to have an assortment of them that came back every year but after our 2007/2008 drought they stopped coming back. Considering that I had them for 15 years I can't complain.

Dahlias are one of my favorite flowers, they are perfect in their symmetry and beauty. You've captured them so wonderfully :)

Misty, I don't know who Donna Dewberry is...these are all my photos. I did the effects with Picassa.

oh, they're beautiful. love the effects you gave them, too.

These are gorgeous flowers. Is the painting a Donna Dewberry picture? She does the one stroke artwork. Have nice w/end; it is going to be quite warm here...a last hurrah! I am looking forward to the cooler weather for a change. :)
