What a colour!!! Beautiful blossoms and pictures!

Stunning! They don't grow here, I sure wish they did. It's like a fairy world!

I tried to visit your blog yesterday, but I guess Typepad was having some issues. Anyway, glad I came back to see these beautiful blooms. My favorite place in Portland is the Rhododendron Garden...it's like a fairy land. The photos you took are magnificent! Enjoy your stay!!

These are gorgeous. Enjoy them while they last.

Once again, stunning images!! [also love the insert of the bird house]

Wow, your daughter's yard seems like heavenly paradise with rhododendron♡♡♡ I love the way arranged bird nest in the picture with sweet pink(my favorite color)♪♪♪
And welcome back "home sweet home"(*^_^*)

Sending you Lots of Love and Hugs from Japan to my dear friend Sallie, xoxo Miyako*

The flowers are blooming beautifully! I love pink. :)

Love the pink

Some years the rhodos are especially beautiful, and this is one of them. I have been dead-heading bushes as other come into bloom. It's a wonderful time of year - enjoy your time up here!

The rhodies are beyond beautiful! Bonus having family there.

Wonderful flowers and have a nice week.

Hildred Finch

No rhodies in this neck of the woods, and a long time since I have seen them along the Hope-Princeton Highway - yours are priceless and beautifully edited Sallie. Loveliest of pinks....

Lavender Cottage

The weather must be perfect for rhodos there, such a magnificent display!

Wow, the rhododendron is beautiful with that super color. It is wonderful to have them growing in your garden. A feast for the eyes.

What a splendid bush. My mother planted one of them in her garden years ago, but I don't see it often. I'll go to visit her in a week and perhaps, this year 'll see the blooming rhoddendron ....

Thanks for your continuing kind remarks on my blog. I hope now that I am home more, I will be able to be more active on the internet. Your rhododendron remind me of the ones we had in Asheville. They are gorgeous. Nothing prettier. Know you are enjoying the Pacific Northwest, but when the seasons change you will be ready again to go elsewhere for a while. genie

Those rhodies are beautiful! Welcome back to the PNW!! Glad you had a safe trip.

Oh the flowers are so beautiful, and love that bird house too!

The robin is back to sit on those eggs...She is fine, but still mean when we walk by :-)

Loredana Donovan

The rhododendron is gorgeous! I love it in pink, my favorite color. The collage with the bird house is very pretty, too :)

Wonderful treat to the eyes of everyone.

And the camera needs to work hard.

wow. so rich in flowers. Ours is not blooming that rich yet. Only a little here and there. Maybe because of very cold nights. Love the editing you made. Gorgous!

It is amazing seeing these flowers on a hedgrow or an arbor, very beautiful.

It must have been lovely to see all these beautiful flowers after all this time. They are gorgeous Sallie, thanks for sharing them.

Karen, Pixel Posts

Oh wow, gorgeous! I love how each bloom is made up of individual little flowers, and what a stunning colour! Beautiful photos!

Marvelous to have 2 springs! Our's were pretty this yr I think because we had a really cold winter it set the bloom really well...I love that you pick one stem and you have an entire bouquet!

The rhododendron is gorgeous. That reminds me of one I had for over 10 years that I lost to our 2007-2008 drought. Hard to believe we had such a bad drought since it's been unbelievably wet for the past few years.

Nothing like a beautiful garden and hugs from family after being away.Enjoy!

They grow wonderful things in the Pacific NW.

Penelope Puddisms

Sounds like your daughter created a backyard paradise. Like a birdhouse in spring visiting is ideal this time of year for flower gazing and "feeling in the pink". :)

Karin M.

These are super nice shots ...
wonderful rhododendron blossoms.
Greetings, Karin

Sallie, Bob and I saw the blooming rhododendron when we visited a couple springs ago. I was amazed at how huge the bushes got. Some were growing wild along the roadsides. Your photos do their beauty justice.

Peter B

Gorgeous! The first ones are starting to bloom here too.

Those are lovely flowers. Things are greening up around here too.
