Beautiful! I haven't seen these is a very long time!

Sally, like you, Crete doesn't do lilacs or peonies, (two of my North American favourites), very well! How amazing that you got to go to Alaska, and be welcomed by all these beauties!! Gorgeous show of colour and I can imagine that heavenly scent of those lovely lilacs, very inviting!

Hi Sallie, Glad you're having a grand adventure. Seward may actually be ahead of Breckenridge in bloom time this year! Still going into the 30's here at night. Have fun and smell those flowers for me!

Lady Lilith

Lilacs come in such a nice shade of purple.

Very pretty. Our lilacs haven't done much this year.

Floral beauty in all its glory. I don't think much about Alaska, but now that you're up there I guess it makes sense that their spring is a little later than down this way. :)

Aimee

Beautiful! I LOVE spring because of all the blossoms and miss it already:)
Blessings,

You are right they are a nice bonus ! I saw lilacs next week in a little village in the moutain, where I go to embroider with friends each thursday during summer. Here they are withered for two monthes and we are just a few kilometers down from the village. Amitiés.
