Greetings from the State of Washington!
We are back in the lower 48 after our summer adventure.
Sunny weather -- beautiful views -- lovely visits with family! Nice to be back.
I got my postcards all mixed up -- those above are from Tacoma, those below are from Seattle. We visited Seattle first of course -- shortly after crossing the Canada-US border near Bellingham. Tacoma is South of Seattle.
Two views of the iconic Space Needle ... beautiful Seattle!
There will certainly be more posts about Alaska --- I have to do something with all the pictures we took! And besides, blogging helps my memory. But I wanted to do a closer-to-real-time post to let you know that the trip has ended and we are back to normal (or as close as we ever get to it).
SHARING WITH OUR WORLD TUESDAY. Thank you to Arija, Gattina, Lady Fi, Sylvia, Sandy, and Jennifer, the hosts of OW.
Very beautiful.

As far as I'm concerned, you can keep the Alaska photos coming as long as you have 'em...

Seattle is a beautiful city when the weather is good - there are times I wish my Seattle job had come through.

My birthday was 19th this month; your mother must be watching you from heaven, I' sure.
Sending Lots of Love and Hugs from Japan to my Dear friend in America, xoxo Miyako*

After making me want to go to Alaska, now you remind me of Seattle - do you work for a travel agent on commission?!
Nice pictures.

Lots of lovely views from your vacation. You will soon be on the road again?
The nigella will reseed itself in a warmer climate, but not here in my part of Canada.

What is 'normal' anyway and who wants to be that? Love your shot of Mt Rainier which one seldom sees without it's hat of clouds. My husband was visiting professor in Fairbanks. Unfortunately I had to stay home with the children. I have always wanted to see Alaska, black flies and mosquitos not withstanding. Great you were able to go on this wonderful adventure.

I'm sure it is nice to be home. That is an especially beautiful photo of Mt. Rainier. I am more used to seeing it from Seattle which gives a different outline to the mountain. (Not seeing it in real time - just photos of course!) I will look forward to more photos of your Alaskan trip later on.
