Great set of birds and my neighbor called yesterday to say her feeders were loaded up with Goldfinches~

craftygreenpoet

great to see all your visitors to the feeders!

Bethany Carson

It certainly does look like a popular place to eat! You must be feeding them some good bird seed!

BumbleVee

What a cheeky guy the jay is!

Margaret Birding For Pleasure

You certainly are looking after the birds in you garden and they all look so well

Ramblingwoods

Nice birds around your feeders. That Jay is a stunner!

Lowell

What wonderful shots! I've tried bird feeders in Ocala but I've not been able to defeat the squirrels!

Are you back in Florida? It's gonna get real cold in Ocala tomorrow night! 27 degrees! Quite unusual. We sometimes get down near freezing but normally not until late December or January. And such temps are infrequent.

Aargh!

Thanks for all your nice comments!

Arija

Ya gotta love that bossy boots bouncer though. Always great to see who comes to the free soup kitchen.

Penny

Well, now, what a welcoming cafe. I can watch birds all day long, Sallie, but, especially goldfinch.

Sondra-SC

Lots of activity at your feeders! My feeders have not been too busy lately, hoping it will pick up.

Gattina

What beautiful pictures !! I close your post before cat Arthur sees the photos !! He may damage my screen !

Reader Wil

Feeders are the best way to attract birds. Thanks for showing and for sharing your knowledge!
Thanks for your comment. I believe that more countries are going to use sod roofs on their houses. I know there are a few here in my country too!

The goldfinch photo especially is lovely! Now winter is setting in, I had just ONE blackbird and one robin yesterday!

Aimee

Great photos--I especially like your first one with all the stumps in the background! Birds fascinate me--I love to watch them:)

Ooooh - what a delightful cafe!

I loved these photos of your cute visitors Sallie. Your Scrub Jays sound like our Blue Jays.

Gaelyn

The Scrub Jays act like the boss around my feeder too.

Yogi

Beautiful birds. I keep forgetting that a group of crows is a murder. I love that for some reason.

Gail Dixon

Awww, I love the goldfinches! Whether they're in winter coats or breeding, they are beautiful and make the sweetest sounds. The Scrub Jay is a cool spotting. Looks like a very popular place to hang!

Penelope Postcards

Lucky birds to have so many well-stocked restaurants around. I guess if it were not for the “bouncer” the little birds would be eating sunflower seeds all day long. :)

Felicia

the little finches are adorable. I like how they hang sideways on the wire.

Lavender Dreams

You've got some happy cafe goers! heehee! We've seen the FL scrubjay on our hikes several times. They are neat to see. Enjoy your week my friend! Hugs!

Al

What a great variety of birds, and LOL at that scrub jay. I love the hot spring park from your previous post - I never imagined Alaska had so many flowers.

Our respective goldfinches may be different species but there are many similarities. Its about twenty years ago when our European Goldfinch started to visit garden bird feeders. Now they are the commonest and most numerous on a day to day basis. Their favourite food is sunflower seed and also Niger
